An enlightening, entertaining, and imperfect workshop for all parents.

Academic scholar? Prima ballerina? Major league baseball player? Let’s face it, at one time or another every parent dreams about the grand scale success of their children. But for most of us, watching our children grow is a process of letting go of the fantasies and learning to love the reality instead.

It’s a process that sisters Gina Gallagher and Patricia Konjoian, the self-proclaimed “Poster Sisters of Imperfection” and authors of a breakthrough new book, Shut Up About…Your Perfect Kid!, know all too well. The two are mothers of children with disabilities who realized long ago how to celebrate the joy in their kids’ imperfections.

In their humorous, thought-provoking, and highly acclaimed presentation (their parents love it), they reveal:

How loving the reality of your child, instead of what society expects, will transform your life (and your kid’s).

The therapeutic benefits of humor

Why it’s OK for your child not to fit today’s ridiculously high standards.

Why parents shouldn’t live through their children’s accomplishment and failures

And if time permits (and they are not too tired), they will share their thoughts for achieving world peace.
